Take me to your liter.

Hello, Feastlings.

When summer really gets going, we often find ourselves in the market for something a little less substantial; those wines that weigh in at 16% alcohol that supremely satisfied in the winter months have begun to hold less appeal.  Now, we’re reaching for clean, crisp, easy-drinking wines that pair well with sitting on the porch and watching the monsoons roll in.  The good news is that those lighter wines afford the summer wine drinker the opportunity to fill that glass one more time, which I guess puts you back where you were in the winter at the end of it all, but just to keep things on the up and up, this week Kevin opens four wines that are a bit lighter, all of which come in a one-liter bottle so you can have that extra splash without opening a new bottle.  The usual stipulations apply to the tasting: it’s $10 plus tax and tip; reservations are required and they have to happen by phone (326-9363) or in person since web and email reservations won’t hold you a place; and the tasting begins at 2:00 on Saturday, July 22.  Come on in.  They’re tasty.
