“Blanc” spaces

Hi, Feastlings.

As we edge toward summer, our wine choices get leaner and racier, and nothing is quite so lean and racy as Sauvignon Blanc.  This week Kevin pulls the corks of four Sauvignon Blancs, each hailing from a different part of the planet, so you can taste them all side by side, and, knowing the varietal is the same, start wrapping your head around what each appellation imparts in terms of nose, color and flavor profile.  The tasting is this Saturday, May 18, at 2:00 pm and costs $12.50 plus tax and tip.  We’ll require a reservation, and web and email reservations won’t save a seat at one of our special events, so I recommend giving us a call at 326-9363 to grab a seat.  Kevin will be here, he’ll be glib, and he’ll likely make an opinionated comment about New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and why it’s not represented here.  I urge you to remember that it’s one man’s opinion and not to take offense if you enjoy New Zealand Sauvingon Blanc.  We hope you’ll join us.
