Hi, Feastlings.

Remember twenty years ago? I remember tasting an organic wine, which will remain unnamed, and needing to spit it out.  For years, no one seemed to give a thought to whether grapes were grown organically, and when someone did, it was likely a well-meaning hippie who cared more about organically grown grapes than about making wine that tasted good.  Across the world, organic and biodynamic wines are gaining acceptability, partly because we’ve grown more concerned about what we put into our bodies, and partly because the winemakers are gaining some chops.  Wine with minimal added sulfites used to guarantee an oxidized stinkbomb, but that’s no longer the case.  This Saturday, Kevin opens four white wines, all will sustainable- nay, biodynamic- practices, and we dare say that they’re all quit delicious.  So whether you come from the hippie camp of organics being paramount or from the wine snob camp of flavor being the ultimate goal in winemaking, you’ll be happy with the upshot of this tasting, where biodynamic wines that are bursting with flavor and originality bridge that gap and make everyone at the tasting happy.  When is said tasting?  It’s this Saturday, October 26, at 2:00 pm.  Bring $12.50 plus tax and tip, some opinionated thoughts about biodynamic wines, and a thirst for both knowledge and wine.  And make a reservation, which can’t be done by web or email.  So call us at 326-9363 and we’ll save you a seat.
