The note you were meant to get this morning

Dearest Feastlings,
Imagine you’re me. Here it is, Tuesday at 5:00, and you’ve only just sat down to send out the email that you’d intended to send out six hours ago. You’ve sewn up the last bits of the New Year’s Eve menu, Kevin has given you his list of wines for this week’s tasting, and you started writing only to be interrupted by the grease trap people, the plumber, three sales reps, the happy hour menu that begins in two days, the cook who’s scared to have his Christmas package delivered to his front porch and wants it to be sent to Feast, and a spectrum of other folk who need one thing or another.
So you’re just now getting to one of the first responsibilities of your day. The good news, however, is this: you’re not me, which means you didn’t have to get this note out. All you had to do was read it, and I’m sure a great many of you won’t even bother with that. There are a couple of takeaways from this note, though, and the big one to know about is this: with Christmas breathing down our necks like a bloodthirsty hound, you still have four more days and change before you have to place your Christmas order. If you call us by the end of the day on Saturday, December 21, we’ll get a Christmas feast ready for you to pick up on Tuesday the 24th, with heating instructions, and you’ll be able to sit around in your pajamas that much longer. The menu, for your perusal, is here.

And if you’re more interested in the wine tasting, that’s also happening Saturday.

And if it’s the wining-dining combination you’re after, that can be discovered here, if you want to join us on New Year’s Eve. Yes, there’s a prix fixe menu, but you can order a la carte if you’d rather:

And that, for now, my friends, is that. I’ll undoubtedly send another frenzied email at the last minute next week as well. But happy whatever you celebrate for now.

Love,

Doug
