How they blend in

Dear Feastlings,

We love Syrah.  And Cabernet Sauvignon?  Delicious.  But far and away the wines people buy here the most are blends.  And as much as anyone may have a fondness for a single varietal, everyone must admit that a winemaker has the most control when he or she can blend the characteristics of one grape to add brightness or acidity or fruit or tannin to another grape that brings something else to the mix.  This Saturday we’ll be tasting four blends from various places around the world.  All reds, all blends, and all delicious, but each unique in its way.  The tasting, like the usual Saturday tasting, is $12.50 plus tax and tip, and it begins on Zoom at 2:00 pm.  Please do call and order your samples and join us.

the meeting number for the tasting, which begins at 2:00 pm on Saturday the 24th, is 820 3785 4656.  The passcode is 482199.
