A cure for tired fingers

Dearest Feastlings,
I’m grateful to report that after sifting through the replies to yesterday’s email, even among the handful of people who land somewhere far from me on the political spectrum, everyone agreed that regardless how smart or stupid I may be to do so, at least it was understood that I can pretty much run my business the way that I choose to. So whether I’m confounded that the Pima County Health Department will look at my can opener and my meat slicer to make sure we’re keeping people safe, but they’ll presumably turn a blind eye to tables placed two feet apart (will they? I’m not entirely clear on that one,) I’m allowed to keep my own restrictions tighter than those of whichever government agencies oversee us. That does, of course, mean that the problem of dealing with people- like the angry maskless guy who told Samantha yesterday that it was illegal for us not to open our dining room- falls squarely in our laps, and for that, I find Doug Ducey responsible, which, ironically, is the only way I find him responsible.
Now, of course, with one sniping remark, I’ve opened myself up for another barrage of emails, and after replying to scores of yesterday’s emails, I only want to rest my weary fingers. My intention: rest through wine tasting. There’s still time to pick up today’s wine tasting, which will begin at 2:00,

There’s time as well to get in on tomorrow’s wine tasting, the one with the food pairings:

It all starts in the vineyard…

and to order Easter food if you plan on something celebratory NEXT Sunday:

Easter treats

If you’re all focused on Passover and can’t get to the tastings this weekend, we’re doing an extra tasting, one that’s partially tax-deductible and which will help Child & Family Resources, a week from Thursday, and there’s still time to get in on that one too:

Feast for Families

or to donate a meal to our upcoming run bringing four days’ worth of food to the Primavera Men’s Shelter. You can check that out here:

Hot meals for those experiencing cold nights

And there’ll be another note in your inbox tomorrow, one with the mechanics of getting into tomorrow’s Zoom tasting, and with any luck no whining on my part about tired fingers. Thanks, friends.

Doug
