Field trip

Dear Feastlings,

One of the dubious treats when one works in the restaurant industry is the trade wine tasting.  When you’re young and learning about wine, it’s a great way to sample a broad spectrum of wines side by side and develop your palate, make connections in the industry and learn a little something about terroir, oak treatment and a host of other aspects of what’s in your glass.  When you’ve been doing it for a while, it’s not unlike being in like at the grocery store or the DMV.  There’s invariably someone in front of you who wants or needs more than is reasonable who’s going to stand between you and your goal of tasting through.  And there’s one of them a every second or third table.  Nonetheless, this past Monday, Katherine and Doug made the trek up to Phoenix to taste through a substantial chunk of STEM Wine Company’s portfolio, and came back with a few fresh new wines that have only just been released, and the fruits of their labors will be available to taste this Saturday, January 15th, at 2:00 PM.  The tasting is $15 plus tax and tip, and can be done in person here at Feast or you can pick up samples and taste at home, following along on Zoom.  If you’d like to join us, give a call at 326-9363 and we’ll set aside a set of samples for you.

The tasting begins on zoom at 2:00 pm on Saturday, january 15.  The Zoom meeting number for the tasting is 854 6278 2284, and the passcode is 820816.

You can find the tasting order and the pricing here.
