Now and then

Dear Feastlings,

While there are those wineries who manipulate their wine and purchase fruit with certain attributes in order to make a “House Style” vintage after vintage, there are plenty who let each vintage speak for itself.  And just as circumstances vary each year- the general weather, mold, hailstorms, forest fires, and on and on- vintages vary too.  This week, we’ll be tasting wines from three wineries, and all with vintages that have their own hallmark.  There’ll be six one-ounce pours rather than four ounce-and-a-half pours, so it’ll be the same amount of wine you usually get, but this time, you’ll be able to taste two vintages of each one.  The tasting is $15 plus tax and tip, and it’ll be an interesting exercise in spotting the differences and likenesses of all three- make that all six- wines.  You can reserve your samples by calling us at 326-9363, and we’ll be happy to see you, whether it’s here at Feast or on the screen.

The tasting begins on zoom at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 5.  The Zoom meeting number for the tasting is 897 9947 8214, and the passcode is 964925
