Des Grands Rouges

Dear Feastlings,

Delightful as those floral white wines and lighter-bodied reds may have been with turkey and trimmings, we’ve got a few months of cooler temperatures- cooler to us, anyhow- and for a great many of us, it opens a skinny little window into red wine season.  This week, we’ll pull corks on four wines that are a smidge more hale and hearty than those we’ve been tasting the past couple of weeks, wines more suited to a roast and Yorkshire puddings than to the ubiquitous Thanksgiving bird, and all of them from across the pond in France.  Our buddy Emilie Bain will hold forth on these voluptuous, tasty reds and you’ll start thinking about holiday meals all over again, even as you finish digesting Thanksgiving.

The tasting begins at 2:00 this Saturday, November 26, and for a mere $15 plus tax and tip, you’ll taste some heartier French reds that might have been a bit too hefty for your Thanksgiving table, but which will suit you just fine for the ensuing winter months.  If you’d like us to save you a seat, give us a call at (520) 326-9363.
