Dear Feastlings,
Summers lately, we’ve been offering sendups of some of the holidays that we don’t celebrate here in the States for the most part- Bastille Day, Ferragosto, and in June, the Bonfires of San Juan, on the 20th. There’ll be more about that as the celebration of the Summer Solstice nears, and we’ve fleshed out a menu of Spanish treats to accompany the Spanish wines we’ll be serving at a discount that day. But the plan now is to give you a sneak peek into four Spanish wines you may want to enjoy on the big day. Or sooner. This Saturday, May 27th, we’ll morph our Saturday tasting into a Saturday version of our Last Sunday tastings- the wines are more upper-end, and there’ll be food pairings built around each wine. Join us with our past and future coworker Katherine and we’ll taste our way through four really special wines with tasty snacks built around them. Now, for the fine print:
First, we know it’s not the Last Sunday of the Month, but we’ve been closed Sundays due to staffing issues, and thought we’d try combining the Saturday and Sunday tastings into one big hootenanny.
Second, it will be priced like a Last Sunday tasting, i.e. $35 plus tax and tip. So if you’re used to Saturday pricing, take note.
Third, it will take place at the customary Saturday time, i.e. 2:00 pm. So if you’re used to Sunday start times, take note.
Fourth, I’m still convinced you’ll have a really good time and taste some wines you’re newly excited about.
