Dear Feastlings,
If I had a Desert Island Wine (and I don’t,) it could very likely be, well, an Island Wine. To taste the salt spray underneath both reds and whites, a quality inexorably bound to island wines, makes them uniquely food-friendly, so what better selection for a Last Saturday tasting than four wines from four island wineries? This Saturday, September 28th, at 2:00 pm, we’ll be tasting four wines, each of which hails from a different island, but each of which has a common thread of the seaside running through it. Our pal Jennifer is joining us again, this time with wines from Santorini and Sardinia, from Sicily and Peleponnese. And we’ll celebrate them with food pairings. For $45 plus tax and tip, you’ll get a generous sampling of the wines, food pairings built around each one, and the two priceless bits: education and the camaraderie of wine nerds. All packed into a Saturday afternoon.
If you’d like to join us, you know the drill by now: give us a jingle at (520) 326-9363 and make your reservation, and we’ll welcome you with open arms.
