Local boy does good

Dear Feastlings,

Many’s the time I’ve had a guest sniff and turn away when the subject of Arizona arises, and for years, I have to say, I wouldn’t have blamed them.  But we Arizonans have some fight in us, and this month, for the Last Sunday tasting, we’ll be tasting four wines that have a Tucson connection.  There’ll be two winemakers who’ve gone off to work in appellations with a little more street cred, shall we say, but there’ll also be a winemaker from just down the street, and an importer who hasn’t pulled up stakes and left the Old Pueblo, either.  Meet them all and taste some really cool wine, and eat a few snacks that are built for the wines besides, this Sunday, August 29 at 3:30.  $35 plus tax and tip gets you four ounces of each of the four wines, and a little snack besides.  We’ll talk about the wines, the food pairings, and how to go about heating up the dishes.  Give us a buzz at 326-9363 to reserve your tasting setup.

The tasting begins at 3:30 pm on Sunday, August 29th.  The Zoom meeting number for the tasting is 831 0805 5105 and the passcode is 449496.

You can find the tasting order and pricing here.

And you’ll find the heating instructions and food pairings here.
