Dear Feastlings,
After forty-one years in the restaurant business and a good chunk of that spent around wine, I was called out the other day when Katherine corrected me- somehow, I’d been under the mistaken impression for years- years, mind you- that the Mistral only affected southeastern France, i.e. Provence and the Southern Rhône. Not so. the Mistral looks like a rainbow, or a frown, depending on your personal outlook, that spans southern France from the eastern to the western border, so we’re bringing in wines from all across the south this Saturday for our Touched by the Mistral tasting. Join us for wines that taste unmistakably southern, and learn a little bit about what that famous wind has to do with it all.
You’re familiar by now with the process: call us at (520) 326-9363 and we’ll set aside a set of samples for you, and you can join us here in the private dining room or from anywhere in the world on Zoom at 2:00 this Saturday, the 23rd. All it will cost you is $15 plus tax and tip, and you’ll get wine and education, hand in hand, plus a discount on the wines you fall in love with. Come check it out!
THE TASTING BEGINS ON ZOOM AT 2:00 PM ON SATURDAY, APRIL 23. THE ZOOM MEETING NUMBER FOR THE TASTING IS 827 7881 8828, AND THE PASSCODE is 113810.
