La Prevista

Dear Feastlings,

This Saturday being the last Saturday of the month, we’ll be stepping up our wine tasting: fancier wines, food pairings, the whole nine yards, as it were.  And since our next big event is just around the corner, we thought it only appropriate to make this week’s wine tasting a preview of what’s to come on Ferragosto.  Do I have the menu of Ferragosto specials ready yet?  Of course not.  I’m frankly lucky to have next month’s menu ready by next Tuesday, what with Cory and Mary Ann out of town.  But I do at least have this set up, now that it’s the eleventh hour.  Our friend Emilie will be here with four wines spanning the Italian boot from top to bottom, and we’ll be making food pairings to go alongside.

The tasting is $35 plus tax and tip, it begins at 2:00 pm, and there’ll be hefty pours and food pairings as well.  If you want to partake, a reservation is a necessity, as we prepare food based on how many attendees we have, so give us a ring at (520) 326-9363 and we’ll make snacks for you to enjoy with your wine and all the fun stuff you’ll learn about these wines from Italy and Sicily, which is Italy according to some, though I imagine the Sicilian people would be in fairly profound disagreement.  We hope to see you there.
