Side by side

Hi, Feastlings.

This week’s wine tasting was meant to be two iterations of two varietals, but supply issues being what they are, and with a stroke of good luck amongst our Rosé allocations, the tasting has a taken a delicious left turn to become a “side by side” tasting: two pink wines from different varietals and different places, with different winemaking techniques.  These in turn followed by two red wines from the same grape and the same general region.  So while we’re missing out on the original Rhône reds we’d planned on, we’ll be tasting some very pedigreed Rosé and two ends of the Nebbiolo spectrum in Piedmont.  We’ll step it up with food pairings, like we do on our end-of-the-month tastings, and for $35 plus tax and tip, you can chat with our buddy Mike Galkin about the wines and the places they come from, and he’s sure to bring maps, diagrams and formulae.

You can call us at (520) 326-9363 and we’ll happily save you a seat and make you some snacks- the tasting begins at 2:00 this Saturday, August 26th and we’re happy to have you join us.
