Dear Feastlings,

While we Tucsonans are particularly used to the red bit of the thermometer swelling into the 100-plus-degree range, it doesn’t mean we enjoy it.  We make various choices that we don’t make in the winter months to mitigate the heat, and while it’s not like years of the distant past when people slept outdoors wrapped in a wet sheet, you won’t see people out on bicycles or tennis courts around these parts.  And while I know some of you cling hard and fast to your red wine ideals, people like me start leaning into white wine this time of year.

This Saturday, then, our pal Avery will join us with four white wines that offer up something that red wines don’t right now:  clean, crisp, chilly relief.  He’ll be here at 2:00 on Saturday the 22nd, and if you make a reservation and then stroll in with $18 plus tax and tip, you will too.  You can call us at (520) 326-9363 and we’re happy to save you a glass for your chilly white treats.

The wines will be a smattering from all over the world, so you’ll be able to identify your own personal brand of clean, refreshing white wine, and with any luck, you’ll find something you love.
