Dear Feastlings,
With Ferragosto fast approaching, it behooves us to get a few Italian wines in front of you so you can plan accordingly on the big day. Ferragosto, August 15th, falls on a Thursday this year, and while the menu itself has yet to be posted, please know we’ll be offering all manner of traditional Italian dishes that day, and waiving the corkage on any wine that hails from Italy- the boot itself, and Sicily and Sardinia as well. With that in mind, we’ll start at the center and work our way out. This Saturday at 2:00, our new friend Brandi will join us from MISA Arizona with two Tuscan treats, one from Bolgheri, and an outlier from Piedmont. And since it’s the last Saturday of the month, we’ll be pulling out a few extra stops, serving larger pours, higher-end wines, and a food pairing with each of them. The price will be $45 plus tax and tip, but since it would cost more than that just to have half a glass of each of these wines in a restaurant without food even entering the equation, we feel it’s a pretty good value.
If you’d like to join us on the 27th, please ring us up at (520) 326-9363 and make your reservation.
