Dear Feastlings,
We’ve been buddies with the kind people of the Rogue Theatre for ages now, and we’ve hosted a couple of benefit dinners for them. It happens that Rogue regulars and Feast regulars are often as not the same people, or possibly more often than not, and we like that. One of the special things about Tucson is the sense of community here, the mixing and mingling and cross-pollination that links each Tucsonan to the next, and we love having these dinners in conjunction with the Rogue to help our supporters discover them and help their supporters discover us, and help all of you discover one another.
So, as the Rogue presents its own iteration of Italo Calvino’s book, If on a winter’s night a traveler, we honor the Rogue, and Italo Calvino, with a dinner that will also help to keep Feast and the Rogue available to be a regular part of your cultural life in Tucson.
Reservations can be made through the Rogue Theatre, and only through the Rogue Theatre, and a link to the information about the dinner can be found here.
The dinner, since there’s very little in the way of food references in the book itself, will honor Calvino- his early years in Liguria, his education in Piedmont, his later years in Lazio and his death and internment in Tuscany, each with a course of food and wine to celebrate his life and work. A portion of the price of the dinner goes to support the Rogue Theatre, and the meal will take place at Feast on Sunday, November 3rd, at 5:00 pm, right after their matinee production of the play. $100 of your $250 ticket is tax deductible, and the food and drink will renew your love for all things Italian, be it theater, literature, food or drink. Here’s what we’ll be serving:
