Dear Feastlings,
Wine is about a lot of things: agriculture and fermentation, sure, but also geology and meteorology. And history. And politics. And on and on. It’s also about geography, and we’ve been making our tastings largely geographical these days, but we’ve got a broader scope this week, broad enough to cover a lot of Old World ground, so this Saturday’s tasting is called Eurail pass, because despite its still being geographical in nature, this tasting spans a broader swath of land than our tastings have of late.
This Saturday, we’ll be touring a number of European producers, and our longtime pal Megan will be here to explain the ins and outs of the wines and the wineries, the grapes and the people who press them. You know how it works by now: Call us to hold a seat at the tasting table, at (520) 326-9363, and then show up on Saturday the 19th with $18 plus tax and tip in your pocket, plus a little extra spending money for the wines you fall in love with on Saturday, which you’ll be able to purchase at a discount. And bring a passport, as we’ll be stopping in Italy, France, Spain and Austria, and tasting something in each country.
