Each Saturday at 2:00 pm, we open four different wines and talk about them- where they come from, who makes them, and what makes them special. A couple of light hors d’oeuvres accompany the tasting and those who attend are eligible for discounts on the wines. Reservations are required, and web and email reservations will not guarantee you a seat, to please make your reservation by calling (520) 326-9363
Hello, Feastlings. This Saturday features wines from the sun-soaked Mediterranean. They’re all red, and they’re all ripe, but each has its own distinct character. The easiest way to compare and contrast them all, of course, is to come to the tasting. Bring along ten dollars plus tax and tip to Feast at 2:00 pm this […]
Greetings, Feastlings. This week’s tasting features Bordeaux’s South American friends. As it happens, Bordeaux varietals are quite content to grow in South American soil, so this week, Kevin offers up Bordeaux varietals grown in Argentina and Chile. These are all red, all delicious, and all markedly more affordable than their Bordelaise cousins. The tasting is […]
First off, Feastlings, let’s get something straight: Kevin named this week’s wine tasting. Four white wines, all Rhone varietals, but from around the globe. The tasting, as usual, begins at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 11, and costs $10 plus tax and tip. Also as per usual is the fact that web or email reservations […]
Buon Giorno, Feastetti. This week Kevin pulls out four tasty Italian wines, each representative of their region. They’re all red, they’re all food-friendly and they’re all delicious. If you want to join us and taste them, plus have a couple of snacks and enjoy the company of like-minded wine sippers, bring $10 plus tax and […]
Good Day, Feastlings. While there’s no shortage of Syrah from Washington, Malbec from Argentina, or Pinot Noir from the Central Coast, once in a while, it’s nice to remember where they hail from, so Kevin’s pulling out a handful of reds this weekend that are true to their Old World roots. If you want to […]
Hello, Feastlings. For as many grape varietals as there are that crop up all over the world- and there are a lot of them- a number of them are grapes that appear in various climes under different monikers. Some are easy to guess: Pinot Gris and Pinot Grigio are fairly obviously the same grape. Grenache […]
Hello, Feastlings. This week, Kevin pulls out reds from up and down the Americas, all with a delightful heartiness that offers backbone and ageability. And what’s more, one of them is on sale at a price that beats Costco. That, coupled with a parking situation that decidedly also beats the retail giant, makes our wine […]
Happy impending Spring, Feastlings. This week, Kevin celebrates the rites of Spring with four tasty pink wines. These aren’t the sweet wines you remember from your youth, either. They’re crisp, fresh, dry, grownup Rosés you can be proud to serve alongside nearly any dish. The tasting happens this Saturday at 2:00 pm, and chances are […]
Hey there, Feastlings. Remember “Sideways?” It’s that movie that made everyone eschew Merlot and start drinking Pinot Noir. Regrettably, it neglected to inform them that it’s dramatically more expensive to produce good Pinot Noir than it is to produce good Merlot. As luck would have it, however, Pinot’s got cousins all over the place, and […]
Guten Tag, Feastlings, This Saturday’s tasting is for those of you who find yourselves in a Teutonic mood. Still, while Kevin is bringing one German wine (from one of my favorite vineyards, Ürziger Würzgarten,) the other three hail from Italy and France where they abut their Germanic neighbors. They’ve got crisp acidity, some with abundant […]
