Each Saturday at 2:00 pm, we open four different wines and talk about them- where they come from, who makes them, and what makes them special. A couple of light hors d’oeuvres accompany the tasting and those who attend are eligible for discounts on the wines. Reservations are required, and web and email reservations will not guarantee you a seat, to please make your reservation by calling (520) 326-9363
It’s a grape! It’s a region! It’s not the same thing as Vino Nobile di Montepulciano! Get all the confusion that accompanies Montepulciano d’Abruzzo behind you this week when Kevin explains it all and offers kup four delicious examples of this tasty wine. The tasting is this Saturday, February 7th, at 2:00 pm, and at […]
Hello, Feastlings. While the last two Saturday tastings have been full up befire we even posted them on the website, this week’s tasting still has room in it, and in my humble opinion, it’s more exciting than either of the last two tastings. Why? Well, it’s composed entirely of wines you don’t get to taste […]
Dearest Feastlings, This Saturday’s tasting offers up four Malbecs: one from Cahors, home to the grape, and three from Mendoza, where they’ve picked it up and run with it. Regrettably, it’s already completely booked up by the people who came to last week’s Syrah tasting. You’re welcome to call and put your name on a […]
Hello, Feastlings. We all know that Old World wines tend to differ stylistically from New World wines, and what better way to discover the differences than by tasting the same grape, twice, from each? Since Syrah is suitably ubiquitous, we can find samples from nearly everywhere, so this Saturday, Kevin will pull the corks on […]
Happy New Year, Feastlings. As you know, we at Feast feel that while tradition has its place, there’s no need to cling to it to the point at which we sacrifice enjoyment for it. So even though it’s chilly out and we all lean toward the reds this time of year, it turns out there […]
Hello, Feastlings. Kevin has named this tasting “Odds and Ends, Old and New Friends,” but it could just as easily be an affordable version of last Sundays “Deep, Dark Reds” tasting. These dense, juicy reds are just the wines to drink when the weather behaves as it has the past few days. Come warm your […]
You know it and I know it, Feastlings: It ain’t New Year’s without bubbles. Even the teetolaters are wont to pop the cork on a bottle of sparkling cider come midnight, and who can blame them? The extravagance of bubbles has been a part of ringing in the new year since the 17th century, when […]
Good day, Feastlings. Kevin’s tasting this week focuses on wines for that last handful of Holiday parties. They make great host gifts, they’re affordable enough to pour in great quantities for your friends and family, and they go with a broad spectrum of holiday fare. The tasting is this Saturday, at 2 pm. It’s only […]
Dearest Feastlings, Whether your holiday table has a turkey on it, a standing rib roast, a ham or a spaghetti squash, there’s one varietal that gets a gold star in the “plays well with others” category: Grenache. This week, Kevin pulls out four of them, ranging from the perfect Tuesday night wine all the way […]
