Our Sunday wine tastings only occur on the last Sunday of each month, at 3:30 pm. Unlike our Saturday tastings, there are six wines rather than four, the wines have a broader range of quality and price, and each wine is accompanied by an amuse-bouche that’s specially made to compliment the wine. Again, reservations are required, and web and email reservations will not guarantee you a seat, to please make your reservation by calling (520) 326-9363.
Sunday, April 24th, we’ll host our customary Last Sunday wine tasting. The six wines this month are all from a gentle giant of a fellow named Pascual Toso. He’s reserved fellow, quiet and distinguished, and most importantly, he’s a fellow who offers really high-quality wines for a remarkably fair price. In fact, I think I’ll […]
Hello, Feastlings, While the Loire is home to Sancerre, which we’ll be tasting, and to Chinon, which we’ll be tasting, our own predilection around here is for the Chenin Blanc, which we’ll be tasting. To borrow a quote from Peter Kasperski of Kazimierz Wine Bar in Scottsdale, “Baumard’s chenins are so mind-bogglingly complex that when […]
Hello, wine sippers. When I was cutting my wine teeth, and well beyond that time, I had a hard time with the wines of Piedmont. Figuring out Barolo and Barbaresco, Barbera d’Alba and Barbera d’Asti is a difficult task, for a multitude of reasons. Yes, they’re wines that you don’t get the opportunity to taste […]
Well, Nice People Who Eat and Drink at Feast, Since everyone’s all in a lather about Black Friday, and since we at Feast were very lucky, we’ve jumped on the bandwagon. Every now and again, our distributors will notice that they have a bunch of wine and spirits in their warehouse that simply haven’t moved. […]
Hello, Excellent Feastlings, In our continuing efforts to remind people to turn the bottle around and see what’s on the other label, we’re continuing with our Trust Your Importer series for this month’s wine tasting. Our guest this month will be Dale Sparks of Quench Fine Wines, distributors of the wines of importer and whacky […]
If you’ve read Michael Pollan’s book, The Botany of Desire, you know about his theory that plants have made themselves desirable in order to trick us into helping them proliferate. Let’s face it: if you’re a grapevine, your progeny isn’t going to make it too far away from home unless you have some help. The […]
Sunday, July 25th, we’ll host our customary Last Sunday wine tasting. The six wines this month are all pink- perfect Threatening Monsoon Season wine, as they cut through the hot, thick, muggy air with rapier-like freshness. The time? Our customary 3:30 tasting. The cost? Our customary $25. The food? Our customary six wine-paired snacks. If […]
Sunday, May 30, 3:30 pm Summertime brings with it a host of reasons to lighten up: you don’t want to feel like marine biologists will put you into a gargantuan sling when you head out to the beach; you either just overdid it on vacation or intend to overdo it on vacation, so you […]
