Ah, my sweet procrastinators

Dear Feastlings,
Each Thanksgiving, despite my best efforts to remind people of the cutoff for Thanksgiving orders on the Sunday before, we invariably pick up the phone that Tuesday to discover a flurry of last-minute voice mails seeing if it’s not too late to order something. There’s still a week and a half to go if you’re planning on ordering Thanksgiving food, but the clock is ticking on today’s deadline: you’ll need to order your hors d’oeuvres today if you want to be assured of snacks while you participate in the U of A Poetry Center’s 60th Anniversary Celebration on Tuesday the 17th. Your order can be available to pick up on either Sunday or Tuesday, but we won’t know how many to make until everyone’s called in, presumably by this evening. Of course, i’ve been getting emails back from some of you letting me know that you’ve received OUR emails anywhere from 10 hours after I’ve sent them to four days after, so this should at the very least be interesting. By which I mean frustrating. But just in case you get this before 2 today, which you ideally should, here’s a link to tell you about what we’re making and how the Poetry Center will be celebrating:

A few hors d’oeuvres for the Poetry Center’s 60th anniversary celebration.

Then, as long as we’re at it, I’ll throw in a link to the Thanksgiving menu,

Thanksgiving carryout from Feast

our next donation run,

Our next donation run- Youth on Their Own

tomorrow’s wine tasting,

Thanksgiving whites

and our current menu.

And with that, I withdraw to my various tasks and responsibilities and cross my fingers for a speedy delivery. Have a great day, everyone.

Your pal,

Doug
