Dear Feastlings,
It’s not remotely normal this week, but after a note from a guest that was one-quarter-right (“your emails are so depressing,”) one-quarter wrong, (“they’re keeping everyone away, and the only people who *are* coming in are also depressed and just want to join your pitty (sic) party!”) and half tone-deaf (“you should just close the restaurant for the summer and recharge! It might sound expensive but you can’t afford not to do it!”) I’ll keep what’s behind the curtain behind the curtain today.
It’s bonkers, which we’ve come to expect by now, and fairly full of drama, which we’ve also come to expect, but we’re again muddling through, which mercifully is the third thing we’ve come to expect.
So despite secret stress and drama, we’re still putting out a wine tasting today,
which despite slightly less secret supply chain drama will go on, both here in the restaurant and in the home of whomever cares to join us by Zoom,

and we’re even coming in on a Sunday, undeterred by our current, closed-on-Sundays situation, to make Father’s Day special for all you dads and all of you who love a dad in your life and want to show him without doing all the cooking and cleaning yourself. Here’s a glimpse at the specials we’ll be offering.
Not sure whether there are still seats to be had this Wednesday, either, but we’ll be putting together a great big dinner to kick of the season of Primavera Cooks dinners. We can’t take your reservation- you’ll need to make it through the Primavera Foundation if you decide to join us and any seats remain.

Now. To attend to the brewing disaster that is- oh, wait. Nothing. Nothing to see here. I just need to pack for that three-month vacation.
Your friend,
Doug
