Dear Feastlings,
The restaurant and catering being what it’s been for the past two months, I’ve again been remiss. I had every intention of getting an email out to you this week, but between the sudden demise of three pieces of machinery ranging from quite small to quite large, the clogging of a line from the grease trap on a Saturday night during dinner service, the illness of at least four people catching whichever bugs have been circulating in their midst, and the recent fatherhood of a dishwasher- Congratulations, Ghadi!- I’ve been overwhelmed beyond the strength of my meager prescription, and in getting ready for and flailing through New Year’s Eve, I’ve only just gotten the January menu written. That will begin on Tuesday the 7th, and, God willing, you’ll get an email from me that day.
Today’s email, though, apart from catching you up on some of what’s buzzing around in my head, and apologizing to those of you who waited way too long for dinner on New Year’s Eve, I mostly just wanted to remind you all that we have a wine tasting as per usual this Saturday, at 2:00.
We’ll be tasting Italian varietals that AREN’T Pinot Grigio and Sangiovese. It turns out there are a few:

We’ll only be tasting four of them, and you’ve undoubtedly had Barbera before, but it likely wasn’t this one, which we feel is supremely good and well worth tasting. Anyhow, if you’re interested, please join us- you’ll need to call and reserve a seat at (520) 326-9363.
And with any luck, next week, you’ll get a rather more composed email from me- composed in both respects- and we’ll get 2025 off to a pleasant start.
Happy new year, all of you.
Your pal,
Doug
